Not long ago it was considered that pen is indispensible for a journalist. But today it is computer which has come to replace pens and it is a fact that no journalist is complete without actually knowing how to operate a computer.

For that matter, not only in the field of journalism but in all other fields, computers have become indispensible today.

The ICJ imparts adequate knowledge on computer operations besides teaching the students on the necessary software know how to enable them to meet their requirements in a news organization.

The students are given rigorous training in computers mostly during afternoons. They are trained in areas like DTP (both English and Malayalam), pagemaking , photoshop and internet. In addition to this, they are also imported general awareness in video editing and power point presentation.

The ICJ takes important care to ensure that the students are exposed to the state of the art technology, so that they reach a position from where they prepare LAB JOURNALS in both Malayalam and English where works in DTP and Pagemaking are fully handled by themselves.

The institution also ensures that the computer training is conducted alongside the regular journalism classes thereby helping the students to be right on the track to make a steady progress before maturing to complete train course successfully.
