Coming to cover a whole variety of subjects – from politics and economics to films and entertainment – regular CLASS SESSIONS are held daily between 10.40AM and 1 PM.

The sessions are conducted by the ICJ faculty and also personalities coming from other parts of Kerala and outside who are specialized in specific areas of interest.

ICJ has the tradition of inviting almost all leading persons from different fields to conduct the sessions so that the students get to understand relevant information from the “horse’s mouth” itself.

The very intention in doing so is to help the students specialize in their selected areas of interest.

The classes are conducted in a thoroughly professional way, providing necessary information in the best way possible thereby ensuring that the students do not lack in infrastructure in any manner. That is, the classes, for example, on visual media is held offering necessary video cameras and other technical material. The students are also sent on outdoor assignments as part of the classes.

Besides guiding the students towards gaining their diploma certificates, the ICJ wishes to offer the best in business so that the students do not lack in quality at any stage.

While senior journalists from leading newspapers join regularly in tutoring the students, experts from the field of Law, Economics and Business management also supplement the class sessions.

Needless to say that the ICJ therefore has made it a regular practice to bring in experts even from outside the state to teach the students every year.

By the time they complete the one-year diploma course, the students can turn back and see the rich experience they had gained in almost all phases of life connected to journalism.
